Note this is dated.  It's the quotes by Food not Bombs that are interesting ...  Way to go!

Although Mayor Dyer invited and is "more than happy" for Food Not Bombs, the human rights group he has called "food terrorists," to serve their meals on the steps of city hall, the volunteers want to continue doing their service in the prohibited Lake Eola area where the poor are accustomed.
Continued pressure by the Foods Not Bombs members prompted Orlando Mayor Buddy Dyer to say Wednesday that he is fed up with the group. He was quoted calling them "food terrorists."
Food Not Bombs founder, Keith McHenry, however, says that feeding the hungry and working with the poor is a way of life, according to the Orlando Sentinel today.(See embedded Youtube on this page.)
McHenry is homeless, except for his 1987 Chevrolet van in which he sleeps. He forfeited a promising careers in graphic design and marketing to "crisscross the country, spreading the gospel of compassion for the poor."
 
McHenry said Wednesday, "It's a really wonderful experience to save food, cook it with your friends, and hand it out. You can't imagine the government saying this beautiful thing can't happen."
