From LittleSis
We have an
exciting new research project we think you'll like. If you haven't heard
about Occupy Wall Street and the movement of peaceful occupations
spreading to hundreds of cities across the US, you need to hurry back
from whatever solar system you're sightseeing, and in the meantime
browse through the movement's websites, Occupy Wall Street and Occupy
Together.
The occupy movement is decentralized and autonomous,
which means people all over the world fighting for an economy and
government accountable to the public can help out in their own way.
Hundreds of thousands of people are taking to the streets to highlight
the injustice of a system controlled by the top 1% at the expense of the
other 99%. Protesters everywhere are saying, "They got bailed out, we
got sold out!" -- and our investigations on LittleSis have confirmed
this grievance a hundred times over.
We at LittleSis are
forming a new research group that will employ LittleSis and other tools
to gather strategic information about the "1%" for the occupy movement.
That's what LittleSis has been all about, and here's an opportunity for
us to step up and hook up some smart and courageous people with relevant
data about the powers they're up against.
To join the group, send a note to us at occupy@littlesis.org and visit this page.
Here are a few projects this new research group will tackle:
• compile info for top financial crooks and their cronies so the 99% can better reach them
• identify financial elites that hang out on governing boards and
research centers at universities so students and faculty can scrutinize
their activities
• generate an updated list of top government
officials who use their positions to shower big banks with bailouts and
favors while demanding cruel cutbacks for everyone else
Join the group and get involved! Bring your magnifying glasses and ideas!
All the best,
